The Australian Podocarps — including species known as plum pines, yellow woods and black pine — are members of the Podocarpaceae: the dominant conifer family of the southern hemisphere. Many are suited to cool-temperate cultivation and offer a compelling evergreen alternative to exotic conifers, with genuine provenance in the Australian and Gondwana botanical story.
