Callitris — the Australian Cypress Pines — are the continent’s most widespread and ecologically successful native conifer genus, adapted to the dry, fire-prone landscapes that cover much of inland Australia. Their fine, feathery foliage, upright form, and exceptional drought tolerance make them highly valuable as specimen trees, windbreaks, and ecologically appropriate plantings in low-rainfall Australian gardens.
