The Southern Beeches — genus Nothofagus and related Nothofagaceae — are one of the great botanical markers of the ancient Gondwana supercontinent, with surviving species found in South America, Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. These are trees with a 90-million-year lineage, valued for their refined foliage, cool-climate adaptability and the deep historical narrative they bring to any garden.
This collection includes species from multiple continents within the Nothofagaceae family.
